Yosemite is for us - Denise Grundland

When I saw the beauty
And the animals
I thought it was a pity
That people from the city
Put them in danger

Since the trip I feel
We must help
So when you come
Don't be a bum
Don't litter

We shouldn't feed them
Let's keep the place clean
Don't ruin the beauty
Do your duty
Because Yosemite is for us.

Quite a sight - Darren Levitt

The river so cold, the grass so high.
This is what brings Yosemite's beauty to the eye.

It's mountains so fascinating, it's sights so rare.
This is what brings Yosemite's tourists to stare.

It's animals so wild, it's caves so deep.
This is what Yosemite park rangers try to keep.

It's trees so big, it's stars so bright.
Yosemite was quite a sight.

Doctor Davis was hairy - Morgan Smith

Yosemite was cool
It made me want to drool
It was wet, cold, scary
And Doctor Davis was hairy.

We climbed up falls
And crossed a river at night
We saw a raccoon,
under the pale moon light.
It was wet, cold, scary
And Doctor Davis was hairy

Yosemite was great - Shereen Cohen

I went to Yosemite, and had lots of fun
We played lots of games, out in the hot sun
We did lots of hiking, and saw some great sights,
and when we went hiking, we climbed to great heights
We saw a few waterfalls, but since it was fall,
there wasn't much water in them all.

We went to a place, called Spiders' Cave
At first I was scared, but then became brave.
We saw a few deer, and they were so cute,
But if I went near them, I'd start to dispute.

In the night it was cold, in the day it was hot.
I was freezing at morn, but then sweating a lot.
My friends and I heard, a bear at our tent.
It's a good thing it didn't make a dent.
All in all, the trip was great.
But next time I go, I won't stay up that late.

Yosemite was... - David Gumpel

Yosemite was cool
it was more fun than school

Yosemite was neat
to us it was a treat

Yosemite was fun
but we couldn't run

Yosemite was dusty
the earth is crusty

Yosemite has bears
they get people scared

Yosemite has trees
they're higher than my knees

Yosemite has mountains
they are higher than a fountain.

In the moment - Doug

hot feet
dirty feet
swollen feet

take a step
take another

feel

the
kiss of the wind gentle
bite of the river cold

smell

the
scent of the pine fresh

taste

the
life of the water clear

see

the
sparkle of leaves dancing

see ahead

see behind

hear

the
concerto - nature

live

now
