Assignment Rationale: To build a firm foundation using the WriteDesign tools of show not tell, one true sentence, figurative language, InDesign, layout, and composition.

Essential Ingredients:

Meets WriteDesign "Rules of Thumb" within website

Writing - Create snapshot each sense. Create a minimum of 21 drafts and 5 polished senses. Show your control of spelling, grammar, mechanics, show not tell, one true sentence, and figurative language.

Design - Use headline type that distinguishes itself from body copy and show careful use of page layout with purposeful positioning of text and white space. Include design elements as an integrated part of the page layout. Use an image and rules (lines) for each sense. Create a minimum of 5 polished designed senses.

Technology - Use InDesign and appropriate support software and hardware such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc., scanner, and digitial camera.
