Zippori

"...which assures the past has a future."

As we entered the site, a group of Arabs were protesting the excavation. They felt the project was disturbing the site of an Arab cemetery.

The tile work was decadent, this sketch of the "Mona Lisa of the Galilee" does not do justice to the real mosaic.

Other themes for the mosaics found at Zippori include nature and hunting.

"I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me; I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate." (Solomon's Song of Songs VIII:2)
