Crayon | Letter-head | Bamboo | Hatterbies
The following drawings have evolved out of an exercise, drawing to music, I do with my students. It started when I was teaching art at Coronado High School. The chair of the visual art department, Laura Hill, a phenomenal teacher and person, used crayons with her students. I hadn't used crayons since childhood, but I had a desire to break away from small detailed [uptight] pen and ink drawings. Toward that end I started using crayons with my students when we would draw to music. I discovered that the waxy crayons have wonderful properties that evoke a loose style with unexpected surprises. I hope you enjoy these a quarter as much as I enjoy creating them.
The cards fold vertically to 4.25" by 5.5". The insides are blank.
You may buy any of the cards, crayon, bamboo, or Hatterbies for $1.25 plus sales tax, shipping, and handling.

My Pal Pete has a long history starting when I worked for CBS Toys and Colorforms in 1983.
8 January 2005, Sarah Rose inspired me once again. On a trip to Costco, Sarah Rose saw a Pete card I was going to give my students and said, "why not have him hold a peace symbol?"...from the mouths of babes.

Patience is a wonderful quality. I took my first stained glass class over 35 years ago. I even had hair then. Five years ago I took another class and have been designing and creating pieces ever since. Now that our house has stained glass in nearly every window, it's time to create for others. The bougainvillea is one of my favorite pieces, because there is space between the colored glass and the background shows through. We have two in our bedroom looking out at a mature bougainvillea and we love the view.

The bougainvillea is one of a few representational pieces I have created. The majority of my work is nonrepresentational, abstract, with an emphasis on color, line, and shape. I have fit glass into window frames, hand rails, and free hanging without frames, all are very pleasing.
The bougainvillea sell for $100 based on the average size of 12" x 20", give or take, plus sales tax, shipping, and handling. All glass comes with 3/8" H cane. Frames are not included, but available. Please send specific measurements for a quote.
Create a special treatment for your handrails.

All stars are custom made, you provide a color pallet and I design a quirky sun-catcher. They are fun to get lost in.
I collaborated on the design of the piece below with a very talented friend, Ryan Turner. He applied my idea and my appreciation for sustainability by using materials that will last and require a minimum of maintenance. We showed the piece when our house was featured on the South Park Old House Fair tour June 2011. We enjoyed many favorable comments and interest. Ryan and I will work together to create a custom piece for you. We encourage your imagination to inspire us.

This eternal wall is made of mahogany and copper with stained glass. This 3'6" x 3'6" version contains LED backlighting.
We do not provide plantings for the eternal walls. The copper will age in the weather unless you want to maintain the original finish.
This link does not lead to porn, sorry, but it does show products that have an irreverent comment on the state of life, which, if you are paying attention, you have probably thought, said, or written yourself...
